Nasir Shaikh- About Us

Nasir attended Northumbria University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 2006. He later obtained a Master’s degree in Advanced Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation from Teesside University in 2010.

As a highly motivated physiotherapist, Nasir is passionate about helping his clients achieve their personal goals. He has developed a broad range of physiotherapy skills and knowledge through extensive experience in various healthcare settings. Nasir is committed to assisting his clients in recovering from injuries as quickly and thoroughly as possible, aiming to restore them to their pre-injury level of function or even exceed it.

With six years of experience providing community physiotherapy services, Nasir has also worked in acute hospitals, as well as with the Ponteland Rugby Football Club and Whitley Bay Rugby Football Club. His experience includes treating patients with neurological, cardio-respiratory, and musculoskeletal conditions. Of all his experiences, Nasir feels particularly drawn to working in the community setting. He appreciates the personal and rewarding nature of this environment and the tangible results that can be achieved.

 As an experienced chartered physiotherapist, Nasir is deeply passionate about educating individuals on regaining and maintaining physical independence for the best possible quality of life. Regardless of how straightforward or complex a case may be, Nasir’s experience and skill set equip him to assist most patients in recovering from illnesses or accidents. He is dedicated to ensuring high-quality healthcare and patient care on both professional and personal levels. Nasir believes in a hands-on and compassionate approach, which allows him to see individuals in their own environments. This enables him to better understand their living conditions and the specific challenges they face as they work towards regaining full health.

Nasir is a member of the prestigious UK Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health and Care Professions Council, the governing body that ensures high standards of practice are maintained in the field of physiotherapy.

In his personal life, Nasir is an avid hill walker who has completed 50 Munros in the Scottish Highlands. He is passionate about enabling others to achieve similar goals and believes in empowering people to move towards their desired lives. Nasir possesses a deep understanding of the barriers to optimal movement and knows effective strategies to overcome these challenges and maximize function.
